Energy Monitoring: Data-Driven Management to Precisely Tap Energy-Saving Potential
The energy monitoring system is the "digital dashboard" of building energy management. Through full-category, full-time and full-area energy data collection, analysis and visual presentation, it clearly sorts out the energy flow direction, accurately locates energy waste links, and provides solid data support for building energy-saving renovation and scientific management. Its energy-saving effect is quantifiable, traceable and verifiable.
The system can collect real-time data of various types of energy in buildings, such as electricity, water, gas, cooling and heating, covering multiple dimensions such as buildings, floors, equipment and branches, forming a visual monitoring dashboard to make the energy consumption situation clear at a glance. After applying the system in the office building group in Tongliang District, Chongqing, the energy use plan was optimized through precise data analysis, with an overall energy saving rate of 34.8%. From January to July 2025, the total carbon emissions were reduced by 430.57 tons, and the energy cost was directly reduced by 601,800 yuan. After the renovation of a government affairs building in Hubei, the monthly electricity consumption decreased by 26%, saving 36,000 kWh of electricity and 28,000 yuan in electricity bills per month, and reducing carbon emissions by 201 tons in half a year.
The system has an energy consumption abnormal alarm function. When the energy consumption exceeds the preset threshold by 15%, it immediately sends a notification to the operation and maintenance personnel, effectively avoiding invalid energy loss. Through the system, the Jingdezhen Taobo City Logistics Center found that the standby energy consumption of refrigeration equipment at night was too high, and optimized the operation mode by linking the intelligent control module, reducing the overall energy consumption by 18%; a large commercial complex found that the standby energy consumption of kitchen equipment was prominent through data analysis, and took targeted power-off control measures, saving more than 2 million yuan in electricity bills per year.
From public buildings to industrial plants, the energy monitoring system is data-driven, promoting the transformation of energy management from vague and empirical to precise and scientific. Data shows that it can help buildings tap an average of 15%-35% of energy-saving potential, making it an important basic tool to achieve the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
